The two authors cited, Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman, wrote a book, First Break All the Rules: What the World's Greatest Managers Do Differently. This book is the product of two mammoth research studies undertaken by the Gallup Organization over the last 25 years. Over a million employees were part of these surveys. You'll find this site very user friendly and loaded with good sound people process practices.
